Gossip take "A Joyful Noise" on the road
Indie-pop outfit Gossip will spend the fall canvassing major markets throughout North America in support of the spring release, "A Joyful Noise."
The three-piece act, helmed by frontwoman Beth Ditto, will begin the fall outing with a Sept. 24 show in Washington, D.C. The itinerary consists of 13 club and theater performances, including two Canadian gigs slated for Sept. 29 in Toronto and Sept. 30 in Montreal. The trio will wrap up the excursion Oct. 14 in San Francisco.
A trio of European festival gigs precedes the North American leg, and a more extensive European tour follows, beginning Nov. 4 in Bordeaux, France, and pushing through a Nov. 27 show in Milan, Italy.

Gossip unveiled "A Joyful Noise," the band's first effort in three years, in May via Columbia Records. The 11-track set, which peaked at No. 20 on Billboard's Alternative Albums chart and at No. 100 on The Billboard 200, has landed in the Top 10 in several countries, including Switzerland, Germany, France and Austria.
