The xx plan worldwide "Coexist" outing

London electronic act The xx has tacked another North American leg onto its in-progress international tour in support of the forthcoming release, "Coexist."
The English indie outfit is in the midst of its current U.S. leg, which includes a Seattle performance tonight (7/25) and pushes through an Aug. 2 show in New York City. Since last check, seven more European dates have been added to the schedule, as well as a second North American trek which gets underway Oct. 5 in Vancouver. That leg features 17 major-market stops scattered across the continent and wraps up Oct. 30 in Baltimore, MD.
Tickets for the majority of shows are available now at the band's website.
The xx is slated to release its second studio album, "Coexist," Sept. 10 via British indie label Young Turks.
"I try and keep it simple, so use logic, a space echo, a bunch of pre-amps and occasionally some Casios," member/producer Jason Smith told The Creator Project late last year about the impending release. "Club music has definitely had an influence on the next record."
The xx released its eponymous studio debut in 2009. The effort, which the trio produced themselves and mixed with the help of Rodaidh McDonald, won the 2010 Mercury Prize.
