Mutemath continue roadwork behind "Odd Soul"
After spending the summer as part of the Honda Civic Tour, rock outfit Mutemath will canvas the nation on a headlining trek behind last fall's "Odd Soul."
Two early August shows supporting Jane's Addiction kick off the summer itinerary, after which the New Orleans alt-rockers will head out on the Honda Civic Tour alongside Linkin Park and Incubus. That 16-city outing begins Aug. 11 in Bristow, VA, and extends through a Sept. 10 appearance in San Diego.
The rock quartet will then unleash its own headlining trek a few days later, beginning with a Sept. 13 concert in Phoenix,. That leg, which will feature opening act Civil Twilight, consists of 27 North American dates, as well as an Oct. 13 appearance at a Mexico City festival. More stops will be added in the coming weeks, according to a press release.
Tickets for the headlining run go on sale to the general public Friday (7/20) via the band's website and include a free digital download of the a live show recorded at Washington, D.C.'s 9:30 Club.
"Odd Soul," Mutemath's third full-length album, surfaced in October via Teleprompt and Warner Bros. Records. The effort, which was recorded at singer Paul Meany's New Orleans home, debuted at No. 24 on The Billboard 200 and follows the group's 2009 release, "Armistice."
