Frightened Rabbit performs behind impending EP
Scottish indie-rockers Frightened Rabbit will spend part of the fall on the North American tour trail in support of an impending, still-unnamed EP.
The five-piece outfit, led by singer/songwriter/guitarist Scott Hutchison, will first complete a round of U.K. stops that gets underway July 21 in and pushes through Sept. 25. The two-week North American portion begins Oct. 5 in Philadelphia and extends through 12 cities, wrapping up Oct. 20 in San Diego.
The North American road trip will celebrate the Sept. 25 drop of their major label EP, which remains untitled. The effort comes ahead of their full-length debut, which the band is currently working on with producer Leo Abrahams (Brian Eno & David Byrne, Paolo Nutini) and expect to release early next year.
The outfit most recently released an eponymous EP late last year, as well as their third indie effort, "The Winter of Mixed Drinks," which surfaced in 2010 via Fat Cat Records. That album peaked at No. 7 on Billboard's Independent Albums chart.
