Redd Kross return with "Researching The Blues"

Power pop outfit Redd Kross will return to the stage this summer for a handful of club and festival gigs in support of their impending new studio set, "Researching The Blues."
The four-piece band, comprised of brothers Steven (bass, vocals), Jeff (vocals, guitar) and Roy (drums) McDonald and Robert Hecker (guitar), has a sporadic summer schedule, beginning with a July 6 headlining appearance at Brooklyn, NY's CBGB Festival and featuring another seven stops spread across the continent. The outing, which includes a Sept. 6 show in Vancouver, runs through a Sept. 23 show in Pensacola, FL.
Redd Kross is preparing for the Aug. 7 drop of "Researching The Blues," the group's first album in 15 years. The Merge Records release, which was penned by Jeff and mixed and produced by Steven, follows the band's 1997 effort, "Show World."
"It has the most singular artistic vision of any record we've done," Steven explained in a press release. "It's just 10 really fucking awesome songs that have the ability to move you in many different ways."
