Meiko takes "The Bright Side" on headlining run

California-based songstress Meiko will take on a national club tour this summer in support of her brand-new album, "The Bright Side."
After a one-off festival performance July 5 in Milwaukee, the Georgia-born singer/songwriter will begin the official road trip with a July 27 performance in Tulsa, OK. So far, the headlining run includes 17 club and theater shows spread throughout the country before concluding Aug. 19 in Hermosa Beach, CA. More dates will be announced in the coming weeks, according to a press release.
Meiko unveiled her sophomore studio set, "The Bright Side," in mid-May via Fantasy Records. The 11-track album, which peaked at No. 4 on Billboard's Top Heatseekers chart, follows her 2008 eponymous debut. That collection was released via MySpace Records.
Fans can currently download a free MP3 of the new record's first single, "Leave The Lights On," via Meiko's website.
