The Avett Brothers ready for push behind "The Carpenter"
After a spring on the road, The Avett Brothers will keep the tour going through the fall in support of an upcoming release titled "The Carpenter."
The North Carolina indie rockers continue the roadwork with a show tonight (6/28) in Salt Lake City, UT. Since last check, 29 stops have been tacked on to the schedule, beginning July 3 in Council Bluffs, IA, and pushing through an Oct. 26 appearance at New Orleans' Voodoo Experience.
The Avett Brothers will unveil a brand-new album, "The Carpenter," Sept. 11 via a joint venture between Rick Rubin's American Recordings and Republic Records. The set, which marks the band's second foray with Rubin producing, follows their 2009 major label debut, "I and Love and You." That album peaked at No. 16 on The Billboard 200 and landed at the top of many Best Of lists.
The new album's first single, "Live and Die," premiered on NPR June 26 and will be available for download July 3, according to a press release.
