Fiona Apple fills out course behind "The Idler Wheel"
Singer/songwriter and pianist Fiona Apple has extended her impending North American run behind her first studio set in seven years, "The Idler Wheel Is Wiser Than The Driver Of The Screw And Whipping Cords Will Serve You More Than Ropes Will Ever Do."
The New York native has added a slew of fall dates to the journey, which plays in Baltimore tonight (6/20). Since last check, another 21 stops have been tacked on to the end of the itinerary, including shows across the West Coast and pushing through the South. The 49-city theater and auditorium trek, which includes a trio of Canadian stops, now wraps up with an Oct. 21 performance in Pittsburgh.
Tickets for the latest additions go on sale beginning June 22.
Apple's long-awaited new studio effort, "Idler Wheels...," hits retailers yesterday (6/19) via Epic Records. The 10-track set marks her fourth studio release and first since 2005's "Extraordinary Machine."
"Every Single Night," the new album's lead single, is currently streaming at Apple's website.
In March, Apple took off on a two-week major-market club tour, which featured her first performances outside of Los Angeles in five years.
