Blondie, Devo take on "Whip It To Shreds" co-headlining run
The two acts will take to the road beginning with a Sept. 7 performance in Woodinville, WA. The 13-city outing focuses mainly on the West Coast, followed by a handful of shows scattered throughout the South and Midwest.
Blondie, which will feature original members Debbie Harry, Clem Burke and Chris Stein, as well as newbies Leigh Foxx, Tommy Kessler and Matt Katz-Bohen, will mix songs from the band's most recent release, last year's "Panic of Girls," with hits from the 40-year discography.
Devo, comprised of original members Mark and Bob Mothersbaugh and Gerald and Bob Casale and touring drummer Jeff Friedl, will continue supporting the group's 2010 effort, "Something for Everybody." Classic Devo hits, such as "Whip It," can also be expected.
"We are looking forward to performing alongside Blondie and swapping costumes backstage," Mark Mothersbaugh said in a press release.
