My Morning Jacket plans for "Spontaneous Curation" on summer trek

My Morning Jacket has extended their in-progress world trek, enlisting the help of audiences to curate the summertime shows.
The five-piece rock band is preparing for an impending two-week European trek, which begins June 16 in Medizabala, Spain. Since last check, another nine concerts have been scattered throughout the schedule, including an Aug. 2 performance in Salt Lake City and an Aug. 11 stop in Milwaukee, WI. Seven September shows remain, which includes a three-night stand at The Wiltern in Los Angeles.
The tour will feature an array of opening support, including Band of Horses, Trombone Shorty, Trampled By Turtles, Shabazz Palaces and Iron and Wine on select dates.
Each show will be partially curated by the audience, which can request songs via Twitter throughout the worldwide run. The entire discography is available throughout the "Spontaneous Curation Series," as well as rarities and covers, according to a press release.
My Morning Jacket most recently released "Circuital," the band's sixth studio set, last May. The ATO Records release, which was co-produced by MMJ frontman Jim James and Tucker Martine (R.E.M., Spoon), debuted at No. 5 on The Billboard 200. They will also be contributing to John Fogerty's new album, "Wrote a Song for Everyone," which will hit retailers this fall, according to a press release.
