DMX plots "Undisputed" return with summer shows

New York rapper DMX will work the road this summer in support of his comeback album, "Undisputed," which hits retailers this fall.
The multi-platinum artist and actor will begin the first leg of the "Undisputed: Weigh In Tour" tonight (6/1) in Cincinnati, OH, and work his way east across the U.S. The current schedule also includes a June 30 performance in Honolulu, and finishes up July 10 in Pensacola, FL.
More dates will be announced in the coming weeks, according to a press release.
"It's been a long time since I've had the chance to go out and touch the fans," DMX said in a press release. "They've consistently supported through the ups and downs. I'm anxious to get back in front of them and return the favor, keeping the focus on incredible music and memorable live shows."
DMX is set to reveal "Undisputed," his seventh studio effort, sometime this fall. The album will be his first since 2006's "Year of the Dog ... Again," which debuted at No. 2 on The Billboard 200 and at the top of the magazine's Rap Albums chart.
DMX collaborated with Swizz Beats and Dame Grease on the forthcoming set. The album's first single, "I Don't Dance," produced by JR Rotem and featuring Cleveland rapper Machine Gun Kelly, is currently available via iTunes.
