Kasey Chambers plots U.S. dates behind impending "Storybook"

Australian singer/songwriter Kasey Chambers will make her way to the U.S. this summer as she tours in support of her impending release, "Storybook."
The award-winning songstress will first make a June 2 festival appearance in Western Australia before making the long plane ride to the U.S. two months later for the Aug. 2 kick-off in Santa Monica, CA. The domestic outing consists of a dozen major market stops before wrapping up with an Aug. 18 performance at Lyons, CO's Folks Festival.
Tickets for some of the North American dates are available now at the musician's website.
Chambers will unveil her seventh studio effort, "Storybook," July 30 via Sugar Hill Records. The 15-track collection is the musical companion to her recently released autobiography, "A Little Bird Told Me," which was published in Australia by Harper Collins.
"This album is a collection of songs and tributes to artists who have influenced me from when I was a small child up until now," Chambers stated in a press release. "I can honestly say that I would not be who I am today without the music from these incredible singer/songwriters and their inspiration."
"Storybook" features songs originally performed by Gram Parsons, Townes Van Zandt, John Prine, Steve Earle and Lucinda Williams, among others. The summertime release comes a few months after the September drop of "Little Bird," which peaked at No. 3 on the Australian ARIA charts.
