The Shins have confirmed another round of U.S. shows for later this year as the rockers continue promoting their world tour behind the recently released "Port of Morrow."

The Albuquerque outfit has added another dozen dates to their in-progress trek, which continues tomorrow (5/31) in Council Bluffs, IA. The current round of domestic gigs runs through a June 10 appearance at Manchester, TN's Bonnaroo Music Festival, after which the band will head overseas for a European leg.

The latest rash of U.S. performances gets underway Sept. 22 in Seattle and works its way westward before wrapping up with a Sept. 13 show at the 11th annual Austin City Limits Festival.

Tickets for most shows are on sale now at the band's website.

For the newly announced September leg, The Shins will feature Mark Watrous on guitar and lap steel, in addition to the usual lineup, which consists of frontman James Mercer, bassist Yuuki Matthews, guitarist Jessica Dobson, keyboardist Richard Swift and drummer Joe Plummer.

The Shins unveiled "Port of Morrow," the group's fourth studio effort, in March via Columbia Records. The latest release, which was recorded last year in Los Angeles and Portland, OR, follows "Wincing the Night Away," which earned the band a Grammy nomination in 2008 for Best Alternative Music Album.
