Roger Hodgson takes "Breakfast in America" on second round
Former Supertramp frontman Roger Hodgson has tacked another leg onto his "Breakfast in America" tour, which takes place this summer following a round of European gigs.
The British singer and multi-instrumentalist, along with a backing band, will first take on an extensive European journey, beginning June 6 in Cologne, Germany, and running through a July 24 appearance in Patrimonio, Corsica. The North American portion will begin Aug. 3 in Vancouver, British Columbia, and stop by theaters, festivals and casinos across the continent before wrapping up Aug. 25 in Chautauqua, NY.
Hodgson's schedule also includes a handful of fall U.S. shows: a couple of mid-September California dates and a two-week run across the East Coast.
Hodgson will perform his most well-known songs, including "Breakfast in America," "The Logical Song," "Dreamer," "Give a Little Bit" and "It's Raining Again." The performer, who founded British rock outfit Supertramp in 1969, most recently released a live album, simply titled "Classics Live."
In 2006, Hodgson unveiled a live DVD entitled "Take The Long Way Home--Live in Montreal," featuring a 75-minute solo set filmed at Montreal's Place des Arts in June 2006. The collection also includes more than 90 minutes of bonus features, such as interviews, behind-the-scenes footage and previously unreleased solo and orchestral performance footage.
