Jay-Z's Budweiser Made in America Festival adds Pearl Jam, more heavy hitters
Hip-hop giant and Budweiser Made in America Festival curator Jay-Z just announced the initial lineup for the inaugural music extravaganza, which will take place over Labor Day weekend in Philadelphia.
Pearl Jam, Skrillex, Miike Snow, Afrojack and D'Angelo are just a few of the big name acts scheduled to perform alongside Jay-Z. Also featured on the bill are Calvin Harris, Odd Future, X, and Maybach (featuring Rick Ross, Wale, & Meek Creek). A complete list of bands scheduled to play across three stages along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philly's Fairmount Park are listed below.
The two-day festival, which takes place Sept.1-2, will showcase a mix of genres including rock, hip-hop, R&B, Latin and electronic, with the hope of attracting a variety of concert goers to help raise money for the event's beneficiary, the United Way.
"Budweiser Made in America is built around a legendary performer in Jay-Z, but what sets this festival apart is having him curate and invite renowned musical talent across several popular genres to share the stage," said Rob McCarthy, vice president of Budweiser for Anheuser-Busch in a recent press release. "Fans at this festival are going to be treated to a once-in-a-lifetime musical experience."
Tickets go on sale Wednesday (5/23) at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster and Live Nation. A limited number of two-day tickets will be available for $99.
For fans who can't make it to Philadelphia, Budweiser will make the concert available through live streaming. Details will be available in the coming weeks.
