David Wilcox fills out 2012 concert schedule
Folk singer/songwriter David Wilcox has plans to spend the remainder of the year touring the U.S. behind his most recent release, "Reverie."
The Ohio native begins the sporadic road trip later this week with a May 18 performance in New York City, and slowly moving west over the course of the summer. The 24-city itinerary, which pushes through a Dec. 22 show in Asheville, NC, also includes a two-night stand Sept. 21-22 in Vail, CO.
Wilcox's most recent studio album, "Reverie," surfaced in 2010 via What Are Records? The effort, which was recorded before a live audience at Cincinnati, OH's The Monastery, has been followed by two download-only self-released collections in 2011: "Live at Eddie's Attic" and "Mixtape: 1979-1982."
"Music still stretches out before me like the headlights of a car into the night," Wilcox explains in a bio posted at his website. "It's way beyond where I am, but it shows where I'm going. I used to think that my goal was to catch up, but now I'm grateful that the music is always going to be way out in front to inspire me."
