Hawthorne Heights plot "Summer of Hope"
Ohio alt-rockers Hawthorne Heights have plans this summer to work the U.S. tour trail behind "Hope," the second EP in a trilogy.
The all-male quartet will kick off the "Summer of Hope" tour with a June 1 performance in Canton, OH, followed by club shows scattered across the nation. The 38-city excursion will wrap up with a July 14 stop at an El Paso, TX, tattoo convention. A one-off festival gig July 18 in Japan rounds out the itinerary.
Forever Came Calling, Failsafe and Super Prime will handle opening support, while Life on Repeat and Set It Off will also join in on select dates.
"Hope" will be available beginning June 5 via Hawthorne Heights' own Cardboard Empire label. The eight-track EP follows the trilogy's first release, "Hate," which surfaced last August.

The band's most recent full-length studio effort, "Skeletons," dropped in June 2010.
