Counting Crows unveil first round of "Outlaw Roadshow"
With a handful of intimate club shows behind them, alt-rockers Counting Crows have confirmed several summertime gigs in support of the recently released "Underwater Sunshine."
Dubbed "The Outlaw Roadshow," the inaugural leg of the summer excursion gets underway June 6 in Asbury Park, NJ. The 17-date outing focuses on the eastern portion of North America, including a June 15 performance in Toronto.
Tickets for the new dates, which will include support acts Good Old War, Foreign Fields and Filligar, are available now. More tour stops will be unveiled soon, according to outfit's website.
"Underwater Sunshine," Counting Crows' sixth full-length studio effort, hit shelves last month via London's Cooking Vinyl. The album, which marks the group's first release since 2008's "Saturday Nights & Sunday Mornings," is comprised of 15 cover songs, including tracks by Tender Mercies, Fairport Convention, The Faces, Dawes and Big Star, among others.
