Beach House launches tour ahead of spring "Bloom"
Beach House, the Baltimore dream-pop duo of singer-keyboardist Victoria Legrand and guitarist Alex Scally, has just begun an extensive round of touring in support of their upcoming album release, "Bloom."
Beach House is currently on an East Coast run with opening-act Zomes that concludes May 15 at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City. Afterwards, the duo heads across the pond for a 14-date run in Europe, including sold-out performances at the Village Underground in London and La Maroquinerie in Paris, along with slots at the Primavera Sound Festival in Portugal and Spain plus the Klibi Festival in the Czech Republic.
Beach House will be back stateside in July to canvas the remainder of the U.S. with Wild Nothing opening most dates.
"Bloom," due out on May 15, was co-produced by Beach House and Chris Coady, who produced the band's previous album as well as producing Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Blonde Redhead.
"Bloom" is the fourth effort from the dream-popsters, who have released an album every two years since their debut in 2006.
Also on Beach House's current tour schedule for 2012 is a pair of one-off dates in the U.K., including the End of the Road Festival on Aug. 31.
