Allman Brothers continue "Peach" anniversary with summer gigs
The Allman Brothers Band has unveiled a summer's worth of live shows, including festival stops and shared bills with Santana, moe. and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
The iconic outlaw rockers will first make a July 21 appearance at the All Good Music Festival in Thornville, OH, before co-headlining six theater shows with legendary guitarist Santana. After an Aug. 1 show with moe., the band will make two North Carolina stops with Lynyrd Skynyrd before headlining two consecutive nights--Aug. 7 and 8--in Boston.
The three-week road trip wraps up with the outfit's Peach Music Festival, slated for Aug. 10-11 in Scranton, PA.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers, led by founding members Gregg Allman, Butch Trucks and Jai Johanny Johanson (a.k.a. Jaimoe), continue celebrating the 40th anniversary of their 1972 live album, "Eat A Peach."
The seven-piece outfit are also set to reissue the 1970 live album, "Live From American University," on their own Peach Records.
