Sublime with Rome breaks out a new round of dates
Punk-ska outfit Sublime with Rome will travel North America this summer in continued support of their debut album, "Yours Truly," released last July on Fueled By Ramen Records.
The trek gets underway June 1 at Oklahoma City's Zoo Amphitheatre with support from the Dirty Heads. From there the band will play music festivals, fairs and amphitheaters around the U.S. and Canada until calling it quits Aug.t 30 in St. Augustine, FL.
Along with headlining shows with Cypress Hill and punk-reggae rockers Pepper, the band will share the stage on select dates with Foster the People, The Shins, Flogging Molly, Tool, Coheed & Cambria, The Expendables and Matisyahu. See the details in the schedule at right.
Sublime with Rome comprises Sublime original Eric Wilson (bass), Rome Ramirez (vocals/guitar) and newcomer Josh Freese (drums). Drummer and Sublime co-founder Bud Gaugh quit the band last December.
"Yours Truly" peaked at No. 9 on the Billboard 200. "Panic" the first release off the album, reached the No. 10 spot on Billboard's Rock Songs chart.

Founded in Long Beach, CA, in 1988, Sublime was one of the most successful and influential ska-punk bands of all time up until the death of frontman Bradley Nowell of a drug overdose. Radio hits "What I Got" and "Santeria," helped the band achieve 5x-platinum status for their self-titled album released in 1996.
