Demi Lovato continues worldwide "Unbroken" push
Teen pop songstress Demi Lovato will take a break from writing to spend the late spring and summer working the road behind last year's "Unbroken."
After finishing up an in-progress South American run in early May, the singer, Disney TV and movie star will take a monthlong break before kicking off the North American leg with a June 12 performance in Del Mar, CA. The 22-city outing includes fair and festival stops scattered across the continent before the Sept. 1 conclusion in Salem, OR.
Lovato unveiled her third studio effort, "Unbroken," last September, nine months after completing treatment at a Chicago rehab facility for physical and emotional issues, according to published reports. That album debuted at No. 4 on The Billboard 200 and features special guests Missy Elliott, Timbaland, Dev and Jason Derulo.
"Skyscraper," the lead single off the new record, debuted at No. 1 on iTunes and has since been certified platinum. The most recent single, "Give Your Heart a Break," is currently climbing the Top 40 chart; the official music video is currently streaming at the New Mexico native's website.
Earlier this month, Lovato acknowledged that she's working on a new album, Tweeting ""So excited to start writing for my fourth album!!!! :D This time there's NO holding back."
