Gillian Welch returns to road behind "The Harrow & The Harvest"

Singer/songwriter Gillian Welch has mapped out a late spring run with longtime collaborator David Rawlings to back last year's "The Harrow & The Harvest."
The duo will take to the road beginning May 30 in San Diego, followed by another nine performances mostly scattered throughout the Southwest. The itinerary wraps up June 12 in Germantown, TN.
Welch unveiled "The Harrow & The Harvest," her fifth studio effort, last June via Acony Records. The album marks the singer's first collection of new material since 2003's "Soul Journey."
According to Welch's website, she and Rawlings met while auditioning for a country band at Berklee College of Music. Together the pair has written songs recorded by Emmylou Harris, Solomon Burke and Willie Nelson, among others.
Last month, Welch's website launched the Gillian Welch archive, which allows fans to see setlists based on date and location, along with photos and videos when available.
