Thrice adds more to "Farewell" run
With several sell-outs already posted, Thrice has tacked another two California dates onto the end of their farewell tour, which gets underway next month.
The post-hardcore band begins the extensive journey with a May 4 performance in San Diego, followed by 35 club and theater gigs spread from coast to coast. Since last check, two new shows have been added: June 17 in Anaheim, CA, and June 18 in Santa Ana, CA.
Tickets for the latest additions go on sale Thursday (4/26, while previously announced shows are on sale now.
In November, Thrice frontman Dustin Kensrue posted an announcement on the band's website, explaining that, "Thrice is not breaking up.... However, we will be taking a break from being a full-time band, and the upcoming tour in the spring will be the last one for the foreseeable future."
The announcement came two months after the release of "Major/Minor," the band's seventh and final studio set.
The Orange County group will record live audio at several springtime stops for a live album that will surface in the fall, according to a press release. More details will be revealed in the coming weeks.
