The 11-piece blues ensemble the Tedeschi Trucks Band has announced spring and summer plans that coincide with the release of their sophomore album, "Everybody's Talkin'," due out May 22.

The collective, led by husband-and-wife team Derek Trucks of Allman Brothers fame and sultry sounding blues veteran Susan Tedeschi, next take the stage Wednesday (4/25) with a performance in Charlottesville, VA. Special guests along the 30-city route include Sam Bush and blues legend B.B. King. The outing ends with a two-night stand at the Beacon Theater in New York Sept. 20 and 21.

"Everybody's Talkin'" is a compilation of live original songs featuring covers of rock, R&B and gospel classics selected from a year's worth of concerts behind the band's debut album "Revelator," which won a Grammy for Best Blues Album of the Year in February.

Trucks and Tedeschi, who have both had lengthy and successful careers apart, joined forces in 2011 in order to spend more time together.

Trucks, an accomplished slide guitarist, was awarded a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award this year for his work with the Allman Brothers. He also won a Grammy for Best Blues Album in 2009 for his solo album "Already Free."

Tedeschi has been nominated for five Grammys. Her last nomination was in 2009 for her solo album "Back to the River," which peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Blues Albums chart in 2008. She lost to Trucks.

According to a press release, fans who pre-order a copy of "Everybody's Talkin'" will receive a bonus downloadable live track -- a mash-up of of Sly & The Family songs "Simple Song" and "Take You Higher" -- and will be entered to win a pair of tickets to any of the band's concerts, a meet-and-greet with Trucks and Tedeschi and an autographed Gibson SG Special guitar.
