Creed fills out in-progress North American itinerary
Already in the midst of U.S. roadwork, Creed has scattered several new shows throughout the spring and summer schedule ahead of a rumored new album.
Since last check, the Florida rockers have an additional 18 stops on the trek, which continues with a two-night stand beginning tonight (4/19) in New York City. Shows are now slated for West Palm Beach, FL (5/4); Indio, CA (5/12); Detroit (5/31); Hot Springs, AR (7/28); and Fairbanks, AK (8/21); among others.
In cities with two consecutive nights -- New York and Kansas City, MO -- Creed will perform two of their multi-platinum albums, "Human Clay" and "My Own Prison," in their entirety. Select songs from "Weathered" and "Full Circle" will also make the setlist, according to a tour announcement video posted at the group's website.
The Grammy-winning act's debut album, "My Own Prison," surfaced 15 years ago and has sold more than 6 million copies worldwide.
In a March interview with CBSNews.com, frontman Scott Stapp acknowledged that the group has already penned five songs for a Creed album, which he hopes will surface by year's end.
The singer is also preparing for the October release of his memoir, which will touch on his childhood, the band's formation, as well as how personal attacks from haters have affected him "mentally, emotionally, spiritually and as a professional in the business -- and why it took so long for Creed to come back."
