Furthur unveils fall schedule
Furthur, the jam band helmed by original Grateful Dead members Phil Lesh and Bob Weir, has announced their fall tour dates.
Highlighted by a three-night stand at Colorado's Red Rocks (9/21-23) to open the trek, the fall tour brings the outfit across the Western U.S. and is heavy on the outdoor venues, taking advantage of the long days and traditionally dry, mild weather. Stops include a three-nighter at Edgefield in Oregon, a day at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in the band's native San Francisco Bay, and two nights at the Greek in Los Angeles.
Furthur's fall tour follows their previously announced summer tour, which kicks off July 5 in Pawtucket, RI, and wraps Jul. 18 at the Meadow Brook Music Festival. Currently the seven-piece is winding up an eight-date residency at the Beacon Theatre in New York City. On Apr. 20-21, the band will be at the Wanee Festival, which also features the Allman Brothers Band, Leftover Salmon, Gov't Mule and many more.
In addition to Lesh and Weir, Furthur's lineup includes Jeff Chimenti, John Kadlecik, Joe Russo, Sunshine Becker and Jeff Pehrson.
