Roxette "Travelling" to U.S. as part of world tour

Swedish pop sensation Roxette has just added a handful of U.S. stops to their massive world tour in support of their new album, the aptly named "Travelling."
So far the band, which comprises Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle, have pulled off more than 85 shows in 30 countries. They will play 32 more upon entering the states on Sept. 2 for a gig at the Beacon Theatre in New York City. The American run will continue on to just three more cities: Boston, San Francisco and Los Angeles, where the tour will come to a close on Sept. 15.
"Travelling," a compilation of new material, classic songs and previously unreleased tracks, is set to surface digitally in the U.S. via Capitol/EMI on June 5. It was released in Europe on March 26. The latest effort follows 2011's "Charm School," which heralded Roxette's comeback after a 10-year recording hiatus. Fredriksson was forced to take a break from the band after she was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2002.
Roxette burst onto the American music scene with 1988's "Look Sharp!," which produced the chart-topping hits "The Look" and "Listen to Your Heart." The band followed up with two more songs "Joyride" from the album of the same name, and "It Must Have Been Love," which was featured on the soundtrack of iconic film "Pretty Woman." Both reached No.1 on The Billboard Hot 100.
