Taylor Swift, Miranda Lambert top ACM Awards for second consecutive year

For the second year in a row, Taylor Swift took home the trophy for the Entertainer of the Year, the highest honor at the 47th annual Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas Sunday (4/1).
Swift is the youngest female to win the category, as well as the seventh female in the 40-year history of the award. She joins the ranks of Loretta Lynn (1975), Dolly Parton (1977), Reba McEntire (1994) and Carrie Underwood (2008 and 2009), among others.
Fellow country songstress Miranda Lambert snagged two ACM Awards--Female Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year for her November release, "Four The Record"--while her husband, "The Voice" coach Blake Shelton, was crowned Male Vocalist of the Year.
Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson won praises for their collaborative single, "Don't You Wanna Stay," which won in two categories: Single Record of the Year and Vocal Event of the Year.
For the third year in a row, Lady Antebellum claimed the Vocal Group of the Year title, while Thompson Square took home its first ACM trophy for Vocal Duo of the Year.
"Video of the Year" went to Toby Keith for his hit single "Red Solo Cup," from last year's hit record, "Clancy's Tavern."
The ACM Awards ceremony took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, and was telecast live on CBS. Reba McEntire hosted the event for the 14th time, with co-host Blake Shelton on hand for the second consecutive year.
