Madonna responds to Deadmau5, denies she supports drug use

Madonna has responded to electronic dance musician Deadmau5's slams via social media with some volleys of her own.
While onstage at Miami's Ultra Music Festival on Saturday (3/24), Madonna told the crowd, "How many people in this crowd have seen Molly?" Molly is a slang term for MDMA, a.k.a. the popular club drug Ecstacy. The title of Madonna's new album is "MDNA."
In response, Deadmau5 slammed Madonna on Twitter and his Tumblr, essentially arguing that Madonna had crossed the line into advocating MDMA use in the EDM scene, playing into stereotypes that have hampered the growth of the genre.

Madonna tweeted a reply to Deadmau5 via Twitter on Monday (3/26), posting a black and white photo of herself wearing Minnie Mouse ears.
"From one mouse to another, I don't support drug use and I never have," reads a cartoon bubble in Madonna's photo. "I was referring to the song called 'Have You Seen Molly' written by my friend Cedric Gervais who I almost worked with on my album."
Deadmau5 then tweeted the reply, "@MadonnaMDNAday sure. regardless, just be a little more aware of what you *should* represent at EDM events, and ill watch my mouth."
Madonna responded: "Communication is always best. You should have called me first, we could have cleared it up 'privately.' ;) See you on the road."
Deadmau5 had the last word, tweeting, "well there you have it kids. i've said what i needed to say, which ill still stand by, and so did she. life goes on. no more talk of that."
