Wilco, Bassnectar, My Morning Jacket to headline Forecastle Festival

Wilco, Bassnectar, and My Morning Jacket will be among more than 70 bands performing at the 10th annual Forecastle Festival this summer in Louisville, KY.
This year's three-day event marks the 10th anniversary of the festival, which began in 2002. Bands will gather onstage at the outdoor Waterfront Park July 13 through July 15.
Neko Case, Atmosphere, Girl Talk, Andrew Bird, Sleigh Bells, A-Trak, Clutch, Flying Lotus, Galactic and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band will be among the groups on hand. A full list of participants can be found on the festival website.
The vision of founder JK McKnight, the Forecastle Festival combines music, art and activism. Along with the scheduled music acts featured on four different stages, the event will host more than 100 regional artists and their work, and dozens of environmental exhibits from organizations like The Sierra Club, Earth First! and Greenpeace. The festival was named one of the "Top 101 Things To Do in America" by Spin Magazine.
General admission single-day and weekend tickets and VIP packages will go on sale Friday (3/2). For each ticket purchased, the Forecastle Foundation will donate 50 cents to local education and international environmental conservation.
