Jilted "X-Factor" contestant Rachel Crow gets big payday
The 14-year-old singer and Simon Cowell favorite has just signed a recording contract with Columbia Records, according to the Hollywood Reporter, which also relayed that Crow has inked a deal with Nickelodeon to star in her own musical-comedy pilot.
The singer tweeted the news to fans Wednesday: "Were u all excited to hear about Nickelodeon and Columbia records? Cause I sure was."
"I just want to say that u all inspire me so much to do my best," she added in a later tweet. " I never forget for 1 second that w/out all of u this would not be happening."
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Crow will also appear in a recurring role on the Nick comedy "Fred: The Show."
"She's funny, genuine, and has raw talent and a passion for performing," Nickelodeon exec Paula Kaplan told THR. "We're delighted to be home to her first acting project and think she is poised to join the ranks of our next generation of Nick stars."
