Train treks through the San Francisco club circuit

Pop-rockers Train will celebrate the impending release of their latest studio set, "California 37," with a half-dozen club shows in their hometown of San Francisco this spring.
A couple of one-off performances are slated for mid-March, after which the rock trio will head home for a six-night spread of San Francisco gigs, all at different area clubs. A 10-date European leg follows later that month.
Ticket information for all concerts is available now via the band's website.
"California 37," Train's sixth studio album, will drop April 17, just two days after the San Francisco residency. The Columbia Records release will follow the group's 2009 multi-platinum set, "Save Me, San Francisco." That collection peaked at No. 17 on The Billboard 200 and at No. 3 on the magazine's Top Rock Albums chart.
The forthcoming album's lead single, "Drive By," hit mainstream radio airwaves in January and the video is currently streaming at the group's website.
In related news, frontman Pat Monahan will perform the national anthem at NASCAR's Dayton 500 Feb. 26. The event will be broadcast on FOX at 1pm EST.
