Madonna unleashes world tour behind "MDNA"

Just two days after her Super Bowl halftime performance, Madonna has revealed a worldwide tour that spans the majority of 2012.
The Material Girl will kick off the tour's international leg with a May 29 stop in Tel Aviv, Israel, followed by concerts throughout the Middle East and Europe through late August. The expansive trek returns to North America with an Aug. 28 show in Philadelphia, along with 25 major market stops scattered across the continent. The current itinerary concludes with a Nov. 17 performance in Atlanta, though more dates are expected in the coming weeks, including South American and Australian legs, according to a press release.
Tickets for the overseas dates go on sale Feb.10, while North American gigs become available Feb. 13 -- all via Ticketmaster and Live Nation. Fans who purchase tickets within North America will receive their choice of a digital download of the new album, or a hard copy.
Madonna's first tour since 2008's phenomenally successful "Sticky & Sweet" outing will follow the March 26 release of "MDNA," her 12th studio set. The effort, which is her first with Live Nation Entertainment in partnership with Interscope Records, comes four years after her platinum-selling "Hard Candy."
On Sunday (2/5), Madonna wowed millions of viewers as she performed her latest single, "Give Me All Your Lovin," as well as a medley of older hits during the Super Bowl halftime show, complete with special guests Nicki Minaj, M.I.A. and Ceelo Green, among others.
