James Taylor to spend summer on the road in North America
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame singer/songwriter James Taylor will follow his springtime tour of Europe with a North American trek that's currently scheduled to visit 16 markets.
The North American roadwork begins Jun. 20 in Pittsburgh and canvasses the eastern and central states for more than a month, concluding July 23 near Denver at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Along the way, Taylor and company will play three nights over Independence Day weekend at the Tanglewood Music Center in Lenox, MA, as well as a pair of north of the border shows Jun. 27-28 at the Place des Arts in Montreal.
In the meantime, Taylor and his band have a full slate of European shows coming up this spring, starting with a 17-date run through Italy in March and finishing up with a four-week run through the rest of the continent that wraps May 14 in Reykjavik, Iceland.
Taylor, who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2000, is a five-time Grammy winner whose first commercial success came with the 1971 single "Fire and Rain."
