Limp Bizkit postpones U.S. outing

Less than two weeks after announcing their summertime road trip across America, Limp Bizkit has postponed the run, claiming that the originally scheduled venues are not adequate for mosh pits and the like.
The Fred Durst-led rock act posted an explanation at its website, stating "an amphitheatre environment won't allow us to [bring you the best concert experience] with so many seats directly in front of the stage. "Moving away from amphitheatres and into venues with appropriate floor space will allow more room for jumping, dancing and moshing directly in front of the stage, instead of on a grassy knoll a hundred yards away."
According to the announcement, a reworked tour itinerary will be revealed in the near future. In the meantime, ticketholders can receive refunds at the point of purchase.
Limp Bizkit will maintain their forthcoming European schedule, which kicks off Aug. 20 in Hasselt, Belgium. The full list of dates is shown at right.
"Gold Cobra," the group's first new studio set in seven years, is slated for a summer release, though no exact date has been announced. The forthcoming album will be the first to feature the band's original line-up since 2000's "Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water."
The first single from the new set, "Why Try," is currently streaming at Limp Bizkit's website.
