Snoop Dogg arrested in Texas after pot found on tour bus

Rapper Snoop Dogg was arrested at a Border Patrol checkpoint in Sierra Blanca, TX, on Saturday (1/7) after authorities said they found a prescription bottle containing "multiple" joints and two other stashes of marijuana aboard his tour bus.
Hudspeth County Sheriff's Office officials said Snoop admitted that the pot, which weighed in at a little over 2 ounces, belonged to him. He was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and released, but not charged with drug possession.
Snoop, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, is scheduled to appear in court by Jan. 20.
The arrest took place at the same Border Patrol checkpoint where country legend Willie Nelson, another famous marijuana aficionado, was arrested in late 2010.
According to El Paso television station KVIA, Snoop's tour bus was stopped by a Border Patrol agent doing routine citizenship check, and the bus was searched after the agent said he smelled marijuana coming from inside the bus.
