Alt-country outfit Lucero just wrapped up a road trip on Saturday (12/31), during which they had a chance to road test songs from their forthcoming album "Women & Work." The set's official tour is slated to kick off Feb. 23 in Arkansas.
Lucero are Ben Nichols (guitar, vocals), Brian Venable (guitar), Roy Berry (drums), Rick Steff (piano, organ, accordion), John C. Stubblefield (bass) and part-time member Todd Beene (pedal steel). "Women & Work" is the group's 10th studio set, and is due to be released this spring on ATO Records.
