Willie Nelson adds more "Remember Me" dates to winter trek
Willie Nelson continues to fill out his solo excursion that pushes well into the New Year, all in support of the November release of "Remember Me, Vol. 1."
The Red-Headed Stranger will return to the stage for a two-night stand Dec. 30-31 in Austin, TX, where he'll ring in 2012. Since last check, 14 additional dates have been tacked onto the itinerary, which picks up Jan. 5 in Amarillo, TX, and runs through another two-night stand, this time in Reno, NV, March 16-17.

Nelson unveiled "Remember Me, Vol. 1" in late November via R&J Records. The 14-track collection features hand-picked hit singles spanning the last 70 years. Backed by some of Nashville's top session musicians, Nelson takes on Billboard hits such as George Jones' "Why Baby Why," Rosemary Clooney's "This Old House," Ray Price's "Release Me" and Merle Haggard's "Ramblin' Fever," among others.
The second volume will hit retailers next year, according to press release.
The latest effort follows his 2009 Rounder Records release, the simply titled "Country Music," which peaked at No. 4 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart. Nelson's discography now includes more than 60 albums since his 1962 debut, "And Then I Wrote."
