"Watch the Throne" has been called the biggest hip-hop tour of the year, but Jim Harrington of the San Jose Mercury News deemed it arguably the most important tour of any musical genre this year. "The chance to see the long-reigning king of hip-hop (Jay-Z) and the man who millions would rank as the most compelling artist of recent years (West) combine forces for a two-hour-plus show represents nothing less than a milestone moment in pop-music history," he wrote in his review. Just three more shows are on the "Watch the Throne" itinerary: Tonight (12/16) at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, WA, and a two-night stand tomorrow and Sunday (12/17-18) at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia.
