Red Hot Chili Peppers pile on more 2012 tour dates
The Red Hot Chili Peppers will venture through more North American markets early next year in support of their recently released album, "I'm With You."
The rockers have a couple more European gigs this week, after which they will take a break for the holidays and return to the road in the New Year. Since last check, another dozen stops have been added to the middle of the schedule, which begins Jan. 20 in Sunrise, FL, and works through a March 16 concert in Little Rock, AR. Concerts are now slated in San Antonio, TX (2/6); Los Angeles (2/26); Denver (3/4); and Tulsa, OK (3/13); among others. On-sale dates for the new gigs vary and are listed below.
After the North American trek wraps up in mid-March, the Chili Peppers will continue touring internationally, returning to Europe in late June and pushing through early September.
Live downloads of the concerts will be available in MP3, FLAC and ALAC formats within days of each gig, according to the band's website.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers released "I'm With You," the outfit's 10th studio effort, in August. The Rick Rubin-produced set, which follows 2006's "Stadium Arcadium," debuted at No. 2 on The Billboard 200 and at the top of the magazine's Rock and Alternative Albums charts.
A video for the collection's second single, "Monarchy of Roses," is currently streaming at the group's website.
