The Darkness to invade America in 2012

British glam-rock outfit The Darkness return to North America for a short run early next year as part of their ongoing worldwide tour. The leg kicks off Feb. 1 in Toronto before winding its way through the states.
The tour marks the band's first time back in the U.S. since promoting "Permission to Land" in 2004. That platinum-selling album spent four weeks at No. 1 on the U.K. charts.
Concertgoers are promised a pyrotechnic-heavy performance that will show off the guitar work of brothers Justin (vocals, guitar) and Dan (guitar) Hawkins, according to a press release. The setlist includes British chart toppers "I Believe In a Thing Called Love" and "Get Your Hands Off My Woman," along with new tracks from the band's yet-to-be-titled third album, due out in the spring of 2012.
Tickets go on sale this week. Facebook friends of The Darkness will have first pick of tickets, according to the band's website.
