Drowning Pool frontman Ryan McCombs exits

Texas rockers Drowning Pool and frontman Ryan McCombs have parted ways, the band announced in a press release.
The band is now seeking the fourth lead singer of its decade-long run.
"We have always been a band who has gained success despite having multiple singers ... maybe we suffer from reverse 'lead singer's disease,'" guitarist C.J. Pierce said in a statement. "Changing things up has not always been easy, but the band has become re-energized time and time again. We are looking to find a new singer who will give both us and, and most importantly our fans, the new adrenaline shot they deserve. We do wish Ryan great success in his future endeavors."
McCombs replaced singer Jason Jones in 2006. Jones joined the band after the death of original frontman Dave Williams.
According to the press release, the band -- which also includes bassist Stevie Benton and drummer Mike Luce -- is currently looking for a new singer. That hasn't stopped them from beginning work on their fifth album, however.
