Prince unveils "Welcome 2 Canada" tour

Prince has announced plans to embark on his first multi-city tour of Canada in nearly a decade.
The 10-city arena tour opens Nov. 25 with a two-night stand in Toronto, and runs through mid-December. Other stops in the itinerary include Halifax, Montreal, Ottawa, London, Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Edmonton and Vancouver. Tickets begin to go on sale Nov. 4.
Prince has been active on the touring front for the last year, most notably with his "Welcome 2 America" trek, which kicked off with a six-night stand in the New York City area last December. He followed with three shows in Oakland, CA, and six shows in the Carolinas. The run finished up in California, with multiple dates at The Forum in the Los Angeles area, as well as stops in Sacramento, Fresno and San Jose.
The Purple One was in Canada briefly in June for a pair of late-night club gigs at the Montreal International Jazz Festival. He also played a series of headlining and festival shows in Europe.
His last multi-city Canadian tour took place in 2002.
