Justin Bieber, Christina Aguilera among American Music Awards performers

Justin Bieber, Christina Aguilera, Kelly Clarkson, Mary J. Blige and Maroon 5 are set to perform during the American Music Awards, which will be handed out Nov. 20 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.

The new additions to the awards show, which will be telecast live on ABC-TV, join previously announced performers Katy Perry and Pitbull. According to a press release, some artists will join for unusual collaborations; for instance, Aguilera and Maroon 5 plan to perform "Moves Like Jagger" together.

Adele leads the list of nominees for this year's AMAs with four nods, including Artist of the Year.

The four other Artist of the Year nominees -- Lady Gaga, Lil Wayne, Katy Perry and Taylor Swift -- garnered three nominations apiece, as did The Band Perry and Rihanna.
