San Francisco's fifth annual Treasure Island Music Festival took place under glorious, clear skies over the weekend (10/15-16), and a reported 25,000 fans turned out to enjoy a smorgasbord of acts -- along with arguably the best view of the city's skyline.
Keeping with tradition, organizers Noise Pop and Another Planet Entertainment built a cohesive, dance-leaning lineup for day one -- Empire of the Sun, Cut Copy, The Naked and Famous, Dizzee Rascal and others -- while day two featured indie alt-rock acts like Death Cab for Cutie, The Head and the Heart, Explosions in the Sky and The Hold Steady. All in all, 26 groups performed on two stages.
