Phish to play sixth New Year's Eve run at Madison Square Garden

Jam band Phish will return to New York's Madison Square Garden for a four-night stand to usher in the new year.
The run, set for Dec. 28-31, will mark the band's sixth New Year's Eve fete at the legendary venue. Though Phish has played New Year's shows in other locales -- perhaps most notably 1999's two-day millennium celebration at Big Cypress Indian Reservation in the Florida Everglades -- The Garden has been the band's preferred year-end concert spot.
Presale tickets are currently available via the band's ticketing site, and tickets go on sale to the general market on Oct. 29.
Phish played three New Year's shows at Madison Square Garden last year, including the band's first New Year's Day gig.
