Report: Madonna to headline Super Bowl XLVI halftime show

A popular sports website is reporting that Madonna has been booked to perform during the Super Bowl XLVI halftime show, which takes place Feb. 5 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

The site, SB Nation, attributes its reports to unnamed sources. The NFL hasn't commented on the report.

Last month, Madonna told an interviewer in Venice that she's at work on a new album that she hopes to release next spring.
