Texas-bred country superstars Willie Nelson, Lyle Lovett and Dixie Chicks are among the performers scheduled to appear at an Oct. 17 concert to benefit Central Texas wildfire victims.

Also on the bill are Asleep at the Wheel, Eric Johnson, Steve Miller, Joe Satriani, Shawn Colvin and Court Yard Hounds.

The show -- dubbed "Fire Relief: The Concert for Central Texas" -- will take place at the Frank Erwin Center at the University of Texas in Austin. Tickets go on sale at noon CT Friday.

Regular tickets are priced from $25 to $100. VIP passes, priced at $250, include premium seating and access to a VIP lounge.

Losses from the late-summer wildfires in Central Texas are expected to hit $250 million, according to local news reports. According to concert organizers, many of the short-term needs of people affected by the fires have been met; the concert's goal is to address the long-term fallout.

Proceeds from the event will go to the Central Texas Wildfire Fund at the Austin Community Foundation, which will disperse funds to Central Texas community organizations.
