Dave Matthews, Arcade Fire booked for Neil Young's Bridge School Benefit

The 25th anniversary edition of the San Francisco Bay Area's Bridge School Benefit will sport a lineup that includes Dave Matthews, Arcade Fire and Carlos Santana.
This year's Bridge School Benefit is set for Oct. 22 and 23 at its usual home, the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, CA. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. PT on Sept. 15 via Live Nation.
Also on the bill will be Tony Bennett (Sunday only), Foo Fighters (Sunday only), Eddie Vedder, Beck, Diana Krall (Saturday only), Jenny Lewis and Mumford & Sons. Neil Young, as always, will play a set each day.
Santana will be performing with Cindy Blackman Santana and guests as Los Invisibles.
Acts traditionally play acoustic sets for the Bridge School, but there have been many exceptions over the years.
The concerts benefit the Bridge School in Hillsborough, CA, which serves severely speech-impaired children in the Bay Area. Young's wife, Pegi, and Jim Forderer -- both parents of children with severe speech and physical impairments -- co-founded the school in 1986 along with Dr. Marilyn Buzolich.
The first Bridge School Benefit concert took place that same year and, with the exception of 1987, has been held every year since.
